Read Your Whole Baby’s Equity Commitment

Katie Ward, IBCLC, MSEd — President

Katie has long been an advocate for protecting children & families from trauma, including the trauma of genital cutting. She began volunteering with Your Whole Baby in 2016. She is also an international board-certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) and a mindfulness instructor. Katie is humbled and thrilled to team up with several fabulous YWB advocates working to spread the message of bodily autonomy in more equitable, just, and respectful ways. At one point she thought she’d take up playing bagpipes. Now she explores the foothills of the Alleghenies with her partner and three kids in rural Western NY.

Jennyfer Park — Co-Vice President & Treasurer

Jennyfer Park is a Director of Equity and Diversity in addition to serving as Co-Vice President & Treasurer at Your Whole Baby. She lives in Baltimore, Maryland, with her child and partner whose family traditionally leaves children intact. Upon joining the movement for genital autonomy, she noticed an extreme deficit and break in communication between some of the people delivering this information and those receiving. She now dedicates her time to distributing information about circumcision and autonomy to communities who have limited access to this information due to systemic barriers.

Carrie Simon — Co-Vice President

Carrie holds a Master's degree in teaching and learning. She lives in New York with her husband, three wonderful children and a dog. She is passionate about advocating for the rights of children to remain intact and has been educating about the harms of circumcision since 2010. Carrie has been a volunteer with Your Whole Baby since 2015, working to grow the online community that provides direct outreach to parents and caregivers daily.

John V. Geisheker, JD, LL.M

Mr. Geisheker has practiced medico-legal law as an arbitrator, mediator, litigator, and law lecturer, for over 30 years. He is currently the full-time pro bono Director and General Counsel for Doctors Opposing Circumcision, an international physicians’ charity based in Seattle, Washington. D.O.C.’s members and supporters oppose merely cultural, non-therapeutic, genital cutting of children on human rights’ grounds.
